I was just approved by the insurance for BR surgery. The stipulation is that it must be done in the next 90 days, although the lady at the drs office said we had until March.
Anyway, I am still bfing my 10mo. I had planned to wean him a month before the surgery. Nothing was ever said that would indicate that I should wean him earlier or that I should wait longer after bfing to have the surgery. I have just now read from a couple people saying that you should wait 6mo or longer after weaning to have the surgery. Any input on that? Anybody NOT wait that long after weaning to have the surgery?
(FWIW, I've grown 2-3 cups sizes with each pregnancy and have NOT gone down in size after weaning.)

Could you not apply when you have finished breastfeeding ? Do you think it is possible that you may have more children?
Hope it goes all ok

I had mine three months post weaning. It didn't seem to cause any problems.

I would def. wait until you wean completely and then make sure you don't want anymore!!
Good luck whatever you decide

My surgeon's office told me to wait until I was 6-8 months post-weaning. This is partly so breast tissue can settle into "permanent" size and shape. I would second the suggestion to wait until after all children, unless your breasts are sobig that you just can't take the pain or fit in any specialty brand bras any more.
