Hi. I'm ten weeks pregnant with my third baby. This is my first pregnancy since I had an augmentation five years ago. I know that it's normal to have breast tenderness in the early days of pregnancy but I just don't remember it being quite this bad in my previous pregnancies.
I wonder how others had gone with this discomfort. Sometimes I even have stabbing pains. I'm trying to tell myself it's a good sign that there are things going on in there but I can't help but worry how I will manage if/when my milk comes in. With my last child I had a huge supply and was extremely engorged in the first week or two.
Also I have had reduced nipple sensation as I had my implants inserted under the aereola. Now my nipples are very sensitive and sore and again I'm really concerned that the pain will be a problem when beginning nursing.
Have others had similar sensations? How have you gone with nursing? I'm less concerned about supply even though I realise it's likely I'll have problems. I'm most concerned that I won't be able to bear actually nursing at all beacuse of discomfort.

Hi!These are all normal feelings, I would say don't worry about that. All the women here have had reduction surgeries or have a low supply so we don't have the same problems that you seem to have. Many of us have to take multiples pills a day so that we can BF our little ones, some of us take up to 40 pills a day to have some kind of a supply. We have pretty much all lost some of our mammary tissue so we don't have the same stinging sensation as you do and many of us don't have any sensations in our breasts. I would say, don't worry my dear! If your breasts are aching, it's very normal. Perhaps when you have your little one and bf him/her and you have too much milk, you could send some to one of us!Hugs and kisses,Sophie xoxox

Some of my pregnancies I was very sore, others not as much.

This is my third pregnancy and the first time I experienced such severe breast pain in the first trimester. It was just as you describe - stabbing pains. Hated it, but made me hopeful there were good things going on in there. The discomfort will go away and you will have to wait and see about nursing. Best of luck to you.
